Because I have many more examples like the water you drink, the radio you listen to, the tv and video games you play! The cell phones, schools. I could go on for days. Do you know that 2/3 of the world will never drink clean water? I mean many people in the world do not even get the bare essentials like food or medicine and we eat steak and take Viagra at will. 2/3 of the worlds illegal drugs come to the U.S. and they are eating at the minds of people that could bring themselves to ask a question like the aforementioned. There are many many things wrong with this country and those things are the many many people who just don't get it. Many of the people that ask a question like that are those whom can not even give thanks and /or respect to those that protect their rights to remain ignorant. There are also many crooks in this country for whom I have even less respect for no matter who they are or what office they run. Meanwhile there are many people whom have given at least twice as much as they have received and are quite happy. Look at our soldiers. Have you looked at their great big paychecks lately??? Some people complain about their low paying job and working conditions and give many excuses why they don't have pride in their work. If you have a full time job at a fast food restaurant you are likely making what some of our solider's make and if you take on a second fast food job you are making close to what our special forces make and would probably get more rest. Just think if you had to leave your family, risk your life, get shot at, and had to eat dehydrated food after getting barely any sleep. An even more interesting thought would be if our soldiers had such crappy attitudes and the quality level in their work was equal to some of these people in this country. The pictures above would probably be quite different, don't you think? In many ways this country is messed up!!!
Before you go wondering what right a "KID" has talking about such things and "what do I know" about work, you should know that I have worked and served since I was five years old and have learned much about the world in which I live. The last thing I want people to think is that I am bragging or that I belive I know everything beacuse am not and I don't, but I belive that young people very much have a steak in this world and it's events because it will soon become their baggage to hold and that they should be raised with pride, respect, and responsibility and should in turn be given respect and included and their opinions heard. Not all young people are kinders nor are all older people wise, but everyone should be given the respect they are due.
The American Bald Eagle was made our National Emblem June, 20th 1782 in representation of our freedom in relation to the freedom of this great bird. It's long life, great strength, and majestic look. The way our gallant soldiers protect our country is much alike the way the eagle protects it's nest and young. The Eagle much like our Country and our Soldiers, beautiful yet fierce. However, if you were to listen to some of the talk today of some people who just don't get it, and it appears there are many, and we were to select a new National Emblem based on their representation of our great country, we would have no choice but to select the Dodo bird. A flightless bird that lived on fruit and very little defensive skills and became extinct right around the time our nation was being established as the first free nation. If you look at the definition of the Dodo Bird here it explains that it had a greedy appetite and was extremely trusting of humans. It goes on to say that one of it's nick names was nauseating fowl and that it's name meant fool or crazy. Now you will know who I am talking about when later in this site if I use the term Dodos. It is quite fitting a description of those who just don't get it and represent our Great Country in the way that they do. It would also be quite fitting if you change the sound of the letter O and it came out more like Doo Doos!
A CALL TO THE YOUNG
A call to the young from the gallant men of service
Our liberties are plenty
Because plenty gave their souls
We ask that you be ready
And keep the flags upon their poles
Keep the glory in your hearts
And freedom in your sights
Worry as much about your duties
As you do about your rights
Remember all our soldiers
Of past and present wars
Remain silent for the anthem
And keep an eye upon our shores
Learn all you can about our rich history
And for the future lay your plans
Mold the next generation
With firm but loving hands
Cherish our great country
For now and for ever more
Pass the message of peace and love
But prepare yourselves for war
